Accessing E-mail Services

MISN e-mail services provide customers with several options to access e-mail.

Customers may use their favorite e-mail client. MISN supports Microsoft Outlook Express. Customers are welcome to use any POP3/SMTP e-mail client of their choosing. Common e-mail clients are Microsoft Outlook Express, Eudora, Mozilla, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Evolution. But, please keep in mind that our technical support staff support only Outlook Express.

Additionally, MISN provides a webmail interface for customers. The webmail interface can be accessed through a web browser here. An older, unsupported webmail interface can be found here.

Anti-Spam and Anti-Virus Services for E-mail

MISN provides anti-spam and anti-virus services with each customer e-mail account free of charge. Each account has an associated quarantine area where suspected spam will be stored for your review. Suspected spam will be stored in your quarantine for up to fourteen days after it is received. The quarantine can be accessed through a web browser here.

Your login name is your email address. (example@misn.com)

Your password is your email password.

When you login to your quarantine, you will find there are several settings which you can adjust to suit your needs.

Spam Filter Training – As you classify your e-mail in the quarantine area, as spam or not spam, your spam filters become more accurate.

Whitelists – You can add e-mail addresses to a list of people you always want to pass the spam filter.

Blacklists – You can add e-mail addresses to a list of people you never want to pass the spam filter.

Quarantine Control – You can turn your quarantine on and off as you desire.

Spam Settings Control – You can turn your spam filtering on and off as you desire. You can also adjust your spam filter settings.
